Tow Truck Milton WA

After receiving its start as a lumber-mill town and incorporating in 1907, Milton progressively shed its reliance on timber and grew a small community mainly for those who commuted to the grander, surrounding cities to work.

Today, Milton still keeps its small-town appeal. It is a quiet, peaceful community bounded by fields, trees, open views, and gardens.

Its quiet atmosphere offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle neighbor Tacoma, just ten minutes away.

An integral part of Milton’s quality is preserving trails, parks, and scenery buffers.

These “links of green” attach the city center with residential and commercial zones, forming a beautiful park-like setting and making the town effortlessly accessible for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The building of the Interurban Railway in the early 1900s, running through Milton amid Seattle and Tacoma, aided Milton’s growth.

Shortly after the first public school household was built in 1903, the Milton Land Company funneled the first town plat, offering land for as cheap as $29 an acre.

In 1905, the first post office opened, and Milton became certified two years later, in 1907, when the public voted 46-18 in favor of incorporation.
